How do you feel about the way your business lobby looks? Is your business a space that makes clients feel good, look good, and want to come back? Today, I talk with Cheryl Janis – an interior designer who teaches health and wellness professionals how to transform businesses into nurturing spaces that increase revenue. I truly believe she is a missing link in our industry, and I am so excited to share with you this informative and fun episode.

If you are as curious as I am to learn more about how to better design your space, make sure to check out Cheryl’s book The Color Cure: How to transform your healthcare office, clinic, or treatment room into an oasis by choosing the perfect paint. If you want to work with her directly, check out her company Cheryl Janis Designs.

At least in this culture and in this country, your clients won’t tell you if they don’t like your space. They just won’t come back or won’t refer you to their friends or family.” – Cheryl Janis

Your bathroom is an extension of your business and the experience that you are providing, so paint your bathroom a beautiful coral color or gorgeous warm pink.” – Cheryl Janis

Cheryl Janis’s 3 design tips:

  1. Color – choose the right paint color for your space (don’t paint your wall yellow-green)
  2. Lighting – layer your lighting and avoid fluorescent lights
  3. Shapes – look at your space and balance the squares with the curves

I would suggest going either with incandescent light or LED lighting that is on the warm scale, and I would recommend avoiding any of the compact fluorescents.” – Cheryl Janis
