Today’s guest Jamie Ortiz and I have something in common: we have both been creating something from scratch over the past few years. While I developed the SpaStar headwrap, Jamie created a mineral sunscreen that filled a gap in the market that she discovered when her young son was diagnosed with eczema.
In this episode, Jamie shares her journey to create Espieve, including the wins and the rewards as well as the struggles and roadblocks that she faced as she built up her beauty biz with no business background. We also talk about the process of getting sunscreen approved by the FDA and all that goes into starting a sunscreen business from the ground up.
Listen in to learn what it means to “know your why,” the important difference between being fully booked and booked perfectly, and how Jamie knew when she was successful.
