Are you making this mistake?
After spending many hours with my fellow beauty practitioners, I discovered that there’s a common mistake among us. This mistake has such a horrible outcome for us that we absolutely must stop it right in its tracks. This mistake is one that we are spending a ton of energy on and it’s not only detrimental to our success but it actually deprives of us of the happiness we deserve.
The good news is that once you become aware of this evil energy zapper, you can easily correct it.
Ok, so just what is this awful mistake I am speaking of? It’s this:
We are focusing too much on what we didn’t do or what we don’t have.
Are you guilty of this? I know at times, I still catch myself doing this. So, how in the world do you stop this madness – what should you do instead?
Begin by celebrating your accomplishments, no matter how small. Once you start paying attention, you will find that you have probably been overlooking many reasons to give yourself a pat on the back.
Something magical happens to your confidence when you take the time to celebrate your achievements regularly. Boosting your confidence and being proud of yourself is a powerful mindset tool which will help you become more successful.
Here’s a little system I created to help you start to show up and be proud of yourself instead of constantly beating yourself up.
“Celebrate, Create and Motivate Success System”
- Step 1. Take 5 minutes to make a weekly list of all your accomplishments.
- Step 2. Look it over and really pay attention to what you are creating in you life.
- Step 3. Now write your 3 next best steps. You want these to be simple tasks that you will achieve in the near future that will make your world a better place
- Step 4. Celebrate by doing something nice for yourself. This doesn’t have to be something big (Examples: grab your favorite latte instead of your boring morning brew, take a nice bubble bath, purchase a new lip gloss, give yourself an evening off to curl up with a good book, etc.). Just do something to honor and celebrate your achievements – not matter how big or small they may be.
Oftentimes, we run full speed ahead never stopping to take it all in and we drop into bed at night remembering only what didn’t get done or what didn’t go well and we feel bad. It’s time to shift this. When you take the time to be where you are, acknowledge when you’ve done a good job and appreciate the effort you put in on a daily basis, you open your world to allow more abundance in.
