165 Marissa Head – Fire & Floods to Beauty Biz Boss

It is important for me to share with you inspiring stories that highlight the power of aestheticians, so today I talk with Marisa Head about her journey through fire and flood to realize her dream of becoming a Beauty Biz Boss. Just three weeks after she opened her own spa she lost her business to a fire. So she pivoted and turned her daughter’s childhood bedroom into an aesthetic room. There, her two daughters went into business with her right before the pandemic hit, so she found herself and her entire family out of work. When she finally moved the business into a storefront, it flooded. Through all of these challenges, Marisa was consistently showing up to Beauty Biz Club meetings, so in this episode, she and I talk about how to power up and why you should never let the phrase ‘I’m done’ be your first option.

Listen in to learn how to scale up your spa business, advice for aestheticians buying a property, and which one big remodel hiccup Marisa wants you to avoid as you grow your business.
