42 Tia Williams – Life as a Beauty Editor and Copywriter

Lori Crete - The Beauty Biz Show 500

Today on the show I’ve got the ultimate style and beauty insider, Tia Williams. Tia worked for 15 years as a beauty magazine editor at places like Lucky, Glamour, YM, and Essence. She also created one of the first style blogs called Shake Your Beauty and is the bestselling author of The Accidental Diva and the It Chick Series. Tia’s latest book, The Perfect Find, debuted in April and was an instant bestseller.

Tia is currently a copy director at Estee Lauder, and because the the job of a beauty editor has always fascinated me, I wanted to get the inside scoop from her. Listen in as we talk about the tough vibe of the beauty industry, the difference between editing and copywriting, and her passion for writing.
