Tips To Up Your Game As A Beauty Biz Practitioner
Tip #1 – Make it easy for your clients – and potential clients – to get in to see you!
- The obvious way to do this is to offer Online Booking, this way clients can set an appointment to see you even if you happen to be closed when they think of it. No chance of them forgetting to do it later.
- Make sure your clients are aware of all the ways you can help them. Ask leading questions (i.e. – Any big events coming up this holiday season?) that might get them in for a service they haven’t tried before.
- Set their next appointment before they leave.
Tip #2 – Don’t neglect your retail sales opportunities!
When your client is in your treatment room, if you have knowledge or ideas of what will help them have a strong home care routine in between visits to you, tell them!
I see many beauty biz practitioners leave money on the table all the time! And it’s not because the client doesn’t want the ‘extras,’ it’s because they didn’t invite them to try them!
Think about it… If a client sees that you have products displayed but you don’t tell them about them, there’s a subconscious assumption that they must not be right for them, or you would have said something.
Speak Up!
Tip #3 – Always choose to be your client’s Professional over being their Pal.
It’s cool to have clients we love like friends; however, never forget why they are coming to you and be sure you show up for that role.
Providing your clients with a great service that leaves them feeling physically amazing and beautiful can only so far if they don’t feel emotionally amazing and beautiful too. Be sure to keep your conversations positive and uplifting. No Gossip!
Remember… Energy is contagious, and in your treatment room, it’s up to you to manage it so your clients leave feeling pampered and stress free.
You want to make sure you’re top of mind for them when they need to de-stress and be pampered.
