Top 10 Holiday Prep Checklist

This is the time when I get all my holiday ducks in a row and I am going to share with you the 10 things I do to create a successful holiday season at my spa.

I created this checklist so I could have a profitable holiday season while still finding plenty of time to enjoy the season with my family and friends!

  1. Online Booking: 90% of my spa appointments are booked while I sleep. My clients thank me over and over again for adding the convenience of online booking. If you don’t have online booking you are missing out on a great opportunity to work smarter not harder!Take advantage of this link to try my favorite system, Schedulicity! 60 Day FREE trial and 25% off each month. Get it here.
  1. Online Gift Certificates: This is another way I work smarter not harder!Nothing is more exciting than waking up and seeing an extra $150 in your bank account! Seriously, I have gained many new clients by adding online gift cards and simply sending an email out to my existing clients letting them know just how easy it is to buy a gift card for a friend or family member!

This is how I do it: 50% off Set up Fee with Gift Card Café.

  1. In House Gift Certificates: Some people will want to add on a gift certificate during the checkout process so be sure to have some extra on hand.I purchase mine at Vista Print. Click here for $10 off your order.

*Success Tip Bonus: This one question can boost your sales by up to $10,000:

During the holidays ask each client the following question during check out, “I want to make your holiday season easier. Would you like to get a gift card for a friend or family member?”

  1. Retail Bags, Jewelry Boxes, Ribbon, Tissue Paper: grab a great selection of these – you know we all need them this time of year and you don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute. I like this resource.
  1. Other Retail Gift Ideas: Feature extra items in your checkout area and mention them as being simple and easy gift ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people! I love to stock some Tassi Spa Headbands and ViaBuff Face and Body Exfoliators
    .
  1. Stock Up On Your Inventory: Seriously don’t be low on – or out of – your best selling products during the holiday season! Buy 2-3 extra of each and I bet you won’t regret the investment!
  1. Make A Costco Run: I head to Costco ASAP and I stock up on paper towels, toilet paper, tissue and everything else I need to keep the spa running smoothly. I buy 2-3 of everything so I don’t have to head back to Costco until January. This is a HUGE time saver because Costco and stores like them are super busy during the holidays.
  1. Prep All Marketing Messages: Create all holiday 3-5 newsletters and set them up to go out accordingly. This step can remove a ton from your “busy time” to do list and can boost your sales by thousands!
  1. Add a few extra hours to your schedule: During the holiday season, I always go in to the spa a little early and stay a little later. I love my clients, I love my spa and If I wrap my mind around the business opportunities that are available this time of year I always see it as a blessing – not a sacrifice – to be working more. And, if I plan this in advance with the RIGHT ATTITUDE it doesn’t seem so daunting. It always turns out to be fun and inspiring because everyone is happier during the holidays.
  1. Create and schedule your social media posts! Nothing says, “I am open for biz” more than a daily social media reminder! Get yours in order and ready to go!!!

BONUS TIP: I keep healthy snacks on hand and I buy them 3 boxes – or more – at a time. Here’s my current favorite: Quest Nutrition Protein Bar, (Vanilla Almond Crunch).
